If the writers go around this then the show should be renamed to “what if, a twist in history” or the “fictional historic romances we would like to see with only attractive people”. People need to accept that all couples are not going to be in a love triangle, some couples fall out of love etc, it is a TV show, why threaten to stop watching a show because your favorite character is gone? Look at The Game Of Thrones, main characters die every week, people are still tuning in.
