After weeks of speculation, the rumors have in fact turned out to be true — Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle DeLeasa are going to be the subject of their very own reality series on E!. The show is going to be entitled “Married to Jonas,” and will revolve around the suburban life of Kevin and Danielle in New Jersey while the Jonas Brothers also get set to reunite with a new album for the first time in years.
In a statement to Entertainment Weekly (who first confirmed the news), E! entertainment programming head Lisa Berger said the following about the concept and what we could end up seeing from this series as a whole:
“Danielle is living a true Cinderella story after marrying into pop royalty, partnering in Kevin’s larger-than-life career and becoming a ‘Jonas,’ a name synonymous with hit music and a worldwide fan base … The series presents a unique look at a young couple and their families from two entirely different worlds, one small town and one dealing with international fame, coming together as one and starting a whole new life together.”
“Jonas” is being executive-produced by Ryan Seacrest, who is a man who certainly knows about producing reality TV for the network thanks to his work with the Kardashians. (He is also responsible for the Bravo series “Shahs of Sunset.”) Ryan has met and interviewed all of the Jonas Brothers over the years, and he seems like a perfect fit to help run a show designed to keep the band in the spotlight after Kevin’s brother Joe failed to see his solo career take off last year.
You can watch this show when it premiere on E! Sunday, August 19. Do you think that “Jonas” will be successful, and are you just excited to see the brothers back on TV in some way?
