Will Matthew Perry stay on ‘The Good Wife’ beyond finale?

It may not be the end.

On Sunday night, “The Good Wife” is set to wrap its third season, and after watching Matthew Perry give a brilliant performance as shrewd (but also somewhat evil) lawyer Mike Kresteva, there is one question that inevitably comes up — could we see more of him in the future?

Speaking to TVLine while at the Comedy Awards taping on Saturday night, the former “Friends” star confirmed that he would love to be a guest star on the show at some point in the future — even though his new comedy pilot “Go On” (about a sportscaster looking to rediscover the joy in life through group therapy) has already been ordered by another network in NBC:

“That is my hope … In the last five years I’ve tried to do a mix of comedy and drama, so it’s been really fun to play a kind of sociopathic jerk lawyer. It’s a fun character for people to sort of root against, and The Good Wife is one of my favorite shows, so it’s all been very cool.”

“The Good Wife” has already been renewed for a fourth season despite some lower ratings on Sunday night, and this will push it to the syndication-friendly 88 episodes. After that, the future of the series is a little bit more unclear.

Even though Matthew has a new series, do you want to see this show continue for a little while longer?
