White House Correspondents’ Dinner: Jimmy Kimmel rips Chris Christie, stars

Kimmel won plenty of laughs.

Jimmy Kimmel came, he saw, and he made the audience gasp. The ABC late-night host gave what may be the most daring speech since Stephen Colbert in 2006. Even though it was biting (and he may have also surprised with some curse words more than he should have), it was also extremely funny — just as much as Seth Meyers’ show from last year.

During his half hour, Kimmel went after everyone — Democrats, Republicans, Fox News, Kim Kardashian, and many more. However, there were a few people who received the worst treatment from the comedian:

Chris Christie – He made fun of the New Jersey Governors’ weight, even going as far as to say that Christie believes that the state motto is “the Olive Garden State.”

Newt Gingrich – Newt sat there and took it when Kimmel referred to the former Presidential candidate as the child of the Michelin Man and the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man.

Rick Santorum – In news that should come as a surprise to no one, there were some jokes about Santorum’s policy on same-sex marriage — and his sexuality in general.

Rachel Maddow – In proving that he went after everyone, Kimmel claimed that Maddow still “cuts her own hair.”

Lindsay Lohan – Of course, Lindsay’s struggled with alcoholism were a hot topic. As for whether or not she appreciated it, that is an entirely different story.

President Obama himself – Whether it was how much he was able to eat thanks to his wife’s health initiatives or even him hiring SEAL Team 6 to wait outside the Kardashian mansion during the dinner, Kimmel had no problem going the Commander-In-Chief.

George Clooney – After all these years and an Academy Award, George will always to Clooney be Batman. In our mind, the worst Batman ever.

John Boehner – To Jimmy, the Speaker of the House is apparently as orange as Snooki.
