‘Best Friends Forever’ canceled by NBC, pulled from schedule

The network has made its move.

Forever is apparently a rather short time for “Best Friends Forever.” On Friday, it was announced that NBC is more or less pulling the plug on the low-rated comedy series after just four episodes.

In a new post on Twitter, series star and she executive producer Lennon Parhmam had this to say in confirming the news::

“BFF Fans: Wanted to let you know that our show is being taken off the air until the summer … Hoping to post ep 5 & 6 online asap … [co-star] Jessica St. Clair and I CANNOT thank you enough for the love and support of our little show. You guys are truly the best.”

Like another underrated series on NBC in “Bent,” “BFF” never really had much of a chance to succeed. It premiered in the spring up against not only “American Idol,” but a popular comedy lineup on NBC and “Survivor: One World” over on CBS. It also didn’t get much promotion, as “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” took most of the airtime instead.

While it is nice that the finale two episodes of “BFF” are supposedly going to air, don’t expect any promotion for them at all — you’re really just going to have to look for them.

What’s your reaction to this news?
