On this weekend’s edition of “Britain’s Got Talent,” we are going to see one of the most emotional moments of this series yet courtesy of a nine-year old boy.
The child’s name is Malakai Paul, and he ends up receiving rave reviews from the judges over a rendition of Beyonce’s “Listen” that is, per Simon Cowell’s own words, incredibly “brave.” However, he is going to struggle when it comes to getting off to a good start. When he tries to perform the song for the first time, he struggles, breaks down in tears, and has to be comforted on stage by one of the show’s judges in Alesha Dixon. However, he then bounces back and manages to do a stellar job on the second go-around.
Young contestants have tended to do well on “BGT” in the past along with the American version of the show — for a prime example, just look at such people as Ronan Parke and Jackie Evancho, who have managed to have fantastic careers thus far despite each finishing second in some rather surprising voting.
Check back on Saturday, as we will have more information both from this audition along with some of the other top moments from the show.
