It’s been a while since we’ve touched on the world of “Pretty Little Liars,” and with the June 5 return of the show a month and a half away now seems to be as good of a time as any.
First, let’s start with some of the basics — the season 3 premiere will touch on the two-year anniversary of Alison’s death, and our resident “A” in Mona will still be captive at Radley Sanitarium despite the time jump of several months between seasons.
If you’re not following showrunner Marlene King on Twitter, you are missing out on some valuable scoop — including some of the following hints about season 3 that have been dropped already:
-She already knows how season 3 is going to end, and she does not start working on a season until she fitures the ending out.
-Lucas is still going to play a crucial role in season 3, even if he and Hanna hand their bumps in the road throughout the final episodes of season 2 courtesy of the laptop.
-In what may be the most telling message of all, King says that Shay Mitchell’s Emily “will eventually move on from her loss.” Is it possible that she’s keeping it vague to suggest something other than Maya’s passing? Sure, but it’s not likely. Maya’s passing is the most devastating moment of Emily’s life thus far, but we know that there is still hope for her on the horizon.
What do you want to see happen during season 3?
