In Wednesday morning’s edition of our “American Idol” notes, we are going to be looking at three people who are all making some rather big-time television appearances at the moment — and for two of them, they involve either a performance that is happening now or in the very near future.
Colton on “Today” – First and foremost, Colton Dixon hit up “The Today Show” Tuesday morning in order to chat a bit about his time on the show this past season. Really, his philosophy has not changed much since he was eliminated last week — he still feels his biggest mistake was his Lady Gaga cover rather than slowing down “September,” and he also wants to continue to inspire people with his faith.
The only real surprise to come out of this interview (which was one of “Today’s” lovely and incredible awkward chats in front of a mob of people holding signs) was that Colton and Phillip Phillips were as close as they were. (Isn’t Heejun Han going to get jealous?)
Haley on “Conan” – We don’t have too much to say here about Haley’s performance, from Tuesday outside of that it was every bit as incredible as the version of “Free” she did on “Idol,” and we hope that it somehow gets her a little bit more attention in the mainstream. Interscope is at least doing their best to get her out there onto various shows, and this is too good of a song to be ignored at the end of the day. (Video below via Mjsbigblog.)
Stefano previews his performance – Finally, Stefano Langone is previewing his upcoming performance on “Idol” Thursday night in a new video from the show. Really, Stefano does his best to promote his appearance and his single “I’m On a Roll” as something incredible — which is understandable since the song’s really pretty great.
Of course, we are still rolling our eyes at how the word “swag” has now become an adjective…
As always, check back soon for more “Idol” news!
