After waiting for weeks, we now have our first look at the new season of “The Bachelorette,” and with that we can say that producers for the show only spent about 25 seconds before they started to press the issue of Bentley Williams and whether or not he would try to romance Emily Maynard.
So is it really happening? The first promo for the show definitely wants to make it appear so, as we watch a mystery figure arrive at Emily’s North Carolina mansion via helicopter and some random guy asks “is it Bentley?”(Meanwhile, someone else guesses that Brad Womack is stopping by for a visit.)
We’re not going to spoil anything about the show on this page, but we think it’s pretty unlikely that Bentley turned up for this — mostly because of the reports that he was so unhappy over how he was portrayed during Ashley Hebert’s season. Why go through it again? (There is a Twitter account out there proclaiming to be Bentley’s, but there is no way of knowing for sure whether or not this is really him posting on it.)
As for what else is in this promo, get ready to see everything from Kermit the Frog to Emily spending some time with her daughter — not to mention kissing a fey guys here and there. This season kicks off officially on May 14 after “Dancing with the Stars,” and will continue to air for most of the summer.
