‘American Idol’ notes: Queen, Stefano Langone, and Carrie Underwood

Only six remain.

As a result of the elimination on “American Idol” Thursday night, let’s start out this edition of our “notes” with a secret that is really not too big of a secret at all — Queen (or at least Brian May and Roger Taylor) will be performing with the top six next week!

This news was reported late Thursday by Reality Rocks, and it also means that the group will be singing the band’s catalog. While we are going to need some time in order to try and figure out what songs are best for some of these people, Hollie Cavanagh should go home and research “Who Wants To Live Forever” — if she can feel the song, she will completely and totally slay it. (On a different note, everyone stay away from “Bohemian Rhapsody,” since Freddie Mercury’s the only person who can really do it.)

As for the results show next week, Stefano Langone is going to be debuting his new single “I’m On a Roll,” while Katy Perry and the Queen Extravaganza official tribute group are going each be performing, as well.

On a different note concerning another past contestant, you can expect to see Carrie Underwood performing at the Billboard Music Awards airing on ABC May 20. Now, the real question is if she is going be heading back to “Idol” at any point in the near future. (We’re counting on it to happy at the finale, if not earlier.)
