Adam Lambert’s airplay relatively steady for ‘Whataya Want From Me’

Greg Hernandez

In this week’s edition of Adam Lambert airplay, there is not much to talk about when it comes to shocking revelations. However, we do have yet another example of consistency when it comes to the success of “Whataya Want From Me” a year and a half-plus after its release as a single.

Overall, the song totaled 1,746 spins in the past week — which is only a decrease of 36 from the week before. When you look at this among other songs containing some sort of “American Idol” connections, this ended up being the seventh-most-popular song out there.

What is particularly exciting here for Adam supporters is simply that Adam could end up remaining in the top ten when it comes to “Idol” airplay for some time. A new single is expected to drop later this fall, and with “WWFM” holding strong it’s hard to see it dropping too much before then.

Do you ever still request any songs by Adam on the radio?
