Sherlock always needs someone with whom he could be involved with emotionally as he did with Mycroft, Moriarty or even Lestrade. That is what makes Elementary so different from any
other Sherlock Holmes adaptation.

Besides being hard to understand she has brought nothing to the series. Hopefully that is what they will be doing otherwise the show is becoming boring. I like the chemistry between Holmes and Watson and there is no chemistry between Holmes and Kitty.
