To me the truly sad thing is – that a storyline is being judged before it’s even aired. Aside from all the shipping nonsense going on here (organized via twitter), I plan to watch the episode and then decide if the storyline is rubbish.

That relationship was for status and popularity. Not love and actual feelings. If anything. Season 2 Quinn and Puck should’ve been working on their relationship. I’ve seen Klaine,Fnchel,Brittana,Quick,Tike shippers. Who support Sam being with Mercedes. Not just Mercedes fans wanting Sam with her. So yes you are incorrect. Sidenote,Sam is not the best option for anyone. When he acts like he has no brain.

Yes, I see what you’re saying and, yes, I’ll admit got carried away. This plot is sad. Aside from all the shipping issues, I’ve noticed there is an underlying pattern of how Glee handles Sam’s character. It seems he gets into situations where he gets taken advanced of, mostly by women. In S3, we learned Sam lost his virginity at the strip club he worked at in Kentucky when he was desperately earning much needed cash for his family. It’s safe to assume he lost it to an older woman. In last year’s finale he was sexually harassed, again on the job. The photographer used her power to get what she wanted. Keep in mind Sam is 19, still a bit naive and was scared as hell that he would lose his dream if he didn’t cooperate. He backed away from her, he continued to say no, yet the woman still cornered him. When someone says no repeatedly and is ignored, that’s harassment. He said after the kiss, he cried while the photographer continued taking pictures of him. In this upcoming plot Sam is used as a pawn in one of Sue’s schemes; she’s his boss. Once again he is used by a woman in a position of power. It’s also sad that no one really raises this issue about his character. If this were happening to a woman people would be more upset or at least notice the problematic way the character is being used, but Sam’s a guy and is assumed that he can handle it or he’s okay with it. I think Glee has missed a great opportunity to treat this in a way where the audience can be enlightened and see these sort of issues happen to men, too. But the story lines are done too haphazardly for most people to get that message. It’s a shame.

Sam was a victim of sexual harassment. The fact that many outspoken Sam stans are in these comments and not a one pointed this out because you are shipping samchel is just not surprising at all. Let people belittle his character if it makes samcedes look less legitimate is the name of y’alls game.
