While I really like the chemistry between Kenzie and Deeks hence the word "Denzie", I'm concerned if they go ahead with a full blown romance it will skew the show in a direction of more a romantic comedy than a crime drama. Both characters have fun together and it is great to watch because it lightens the heavy drama a bit but the writers will have to be careful to maintain the balance. Even though the show seems like it will go on for quite a bit yet, we don't know what the actors want for their own personal futures. I just hope that it doesn't go down the same road as "TIVA" in the original NCIS. There doesn't seem to be a "Rule #12" on NCIS LA versus Gibb's rules so that may give a bit more license for the storylines. Time will tell. "Chicago Fire" has succeeded in blending romance with the drama quite well. They show the struggles of maintaining interpersonal/co-worker romances and a demanding often potentially life threatening job. Some of it is really serious and some of it is funny.
