‘Punk’d’ review: ‘Glee’s’ Dianna Agron, Zac Efron feel the pain

Quinn got it good.

In grading this week’s edition of “Punk’d,” we had our first real occasion where all three victims were actually more famous than the host. Hayden Panettiere has been under the radar for a while, but she at least presided over some pranks that brought some humor, even if they failed to live up to the expectations set by the first pair of episodes.

Dianna Agron – This was a rather simple prank, but sometimes simple is better than a bunch of stuff blowing up. The “Glee” star ┬áhad to deal with an incredibly creepy grandfather who consistently tried to refer to her as his past love “Julie,” complimented her on her butt, and then said that he wanted to kiss her neck.

There’s a line that gets drawn where seniors stop being cute and start getting weird, and this guy jumped over it so far that he could have been an Olympic athlete. The payoff could have been better, but it was entertaining watching Dianna try and make this guy feel good. Grade: B+

Zac Efron – As far as original pranks go, this was the weakest one of the episode. Why? We had an incident with the cops, some guy trying to run away, and Zac freaking out. Nothing really to see here. Grade: D

Snooki – Have we not seen some better pranks on “Jersey Shore” already, this would have been even better. Really, it was just okay, as Snooki and Jwoww (who was in on the stunt) watched a woman cheat on her husband, and then the violent confrontation that ensued.

Really, what we were surprised by the most here is that Snooki didn’t figure out that Jwoww was acting on her own. Grade: C+

At this point, what “Punk’d” really needs is a knockout punch. Without it, all we really have here is a show that already feels dated three episodes in … and the best we got this week was a slightly shocking moment involving an old man who likes a “Glee” star a little too much.

Which stunt this week was your favorite?
