‘American Horror Story’: Lizzie Brochere joins cast for season 2

The new cast is growing

The producers behind ‘American Horror Story’ are busy securing their cast for next season and with their latest addition, it looks like season 2 is going to have a little French flare in the mix.

After seeing hundreds of auditions that stretched over many continents, the producers finally found what they were looking for in French actress Lizzie Brochere who has now been cast on the show as a series regular.

Reports from TVLine reveal that ‘American Horror Story’ producers have been desperately looking for the perfect person to play a ‘femme fatale’ named Gia who will be the nemesis of Jessica Lange’s new character. Brochere’s role of Gia will require her to play a dangerous, wild child with a heavy sexual appetite.

Brochere is known for her work as an NC-17 type actress, so the role could be a nice fit for her since she has a lot of great experience to bring to the table.

While there is not a lot of information about season 2 of ‘American Horror Story’ available right now we do know that Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Lily Rabe will all be returning, but playing different characters then they did in season 1.  Besides Brochere, the only other new person to be added to the cast is Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine who will play one half of a couple called ‘The Lovers’.  Levine has said that he’s excited about the opportunity, even though he has no previous acting experience.  It has also been revealed that season 2 will take place on the east coast in an institution.
