‘Duck Dynasty’: Phil and Willie talk duck calls on Conan O’Brien

Phil shows Conan how it’s done

If you haven’t had a chance to check out A&E’s hottest new show ‘Duck Dynasty’ we recommend that you do so, immediately if not sooner.  This show is so much fun and will have you rolling on the floor in laughter as you watch Willie work his tail off to grow the family business into an empire while trying to control his prankster brother Jase and his ‘innovative’ ideas.  Willie’s father Phil (who started the company) and his uncle Si aren’t much help either as all they want to do is hunt for ducks and blow up beaver dams all day.

Willie and Phil headed over to the Conan O’Brien show last night where Conan couldn’t get over the epic beards the boys have, something that really sets them apart from the rest of the men out there.  Phil gets into how he came up with the idea to make duck calls, saying that there just weren’t enough options out there on really good duck calls, but more specifically that there weren’t specific duck calls for each species of duck – that’s where they came in and ended up creating an entire duck empire.  Phil gives Conan about seven different duck calls and invites him down to Louisiana to grow out his beard and turn him into a duck man.

Phil reveals that not only does he not own a suit, but that he’s also never owned a cell phone or turned on a computer, which is likely why Willie is the man to take on the business side of things. Phil gives Conan a duck caller and shows him how to use it – which is really something incredible to see.  Conan using his duck caller on the other hand is the most ridiculous, hilarious thing we’ve ever witnessed, calling himself the Louis Armstrong of duck calls.

Willie posted a message to Conan on his Twitter account, saying that he wasn’t too bad for a first time duck caller.  He wrote; “ConanOBrien Thanks for having us on the show! Not bad duck calling for a first timer.”

A new episode of ‘Duck Dynasty’ airs tonight on A&E at 10 p.m.
