‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Maisie Williams’ Arya receives huge costume change

For all of those who love the character of Arya on “Game of Thrones,” be prepare for some big news: You are going to see a very different side of the character when she returns to HBO in the spring.

The character is on the move, and due to her new location, coupled with new circumstances and no longer a need to keep her identity so greatly a secret, this marks a chance for her to show a new side to herself. In a new article on Entertainment Weekly, you can see the character’s new costume, which is a complete turnaround, and is actually a dress to boot!

Speaking to the website, star Maisie Williams made her opinion on the outfit very clear:

“I love Arya’s new look … It’s very neutral, very plain, but clean! I have clean hair that actually moves.”

One of the other funny things about this new look for Arya is that when Williams first showed off the look on set, there were many who did not even know who she was at first:

“I had my hair braided up to these big buns and bits of jewelry and a jumper thing with a long skirt, and I came onto the set and nobody recognized me.”

While the outfit may be a big change for Arya, the one thing that we will say about her storyline moving forward is that it doesn’t quite mean that she will be any less of a fighter. The difference is that now, she may be doing so in a very different way than her days trying to survive alongside the Hound.
