As you prepare to enjoy (and we are sure you will enjoy) Tuesday night’s “Big Brother” episode of “Glee,” we are going to take a quick look ahead at the upcoming “Saturday Night Glee-ver, which is going to start airing on April 18.
With that, we have our first look at Alex Newell as a mysterious new character named Wade. We still don’t have any idea just how Wade fits into the show, but the character certainly comes across as awkward in the photo to the left. We also see him talking to Kurt in one image — could he be looking to him as some sort of mentor, as was suggested back during “The Glee Project” days?
Newell should be appearing in at least two episodes as a character, so (pending some shocker) expect to see this story wrapped up by the time season 3 ends.
As for what is coming up after season 3, Fox finally confirmed on Monday that “Glee” (along with “New Girl” and the ratings-challenged “Raising Hope”) are all going to be back for another season. We know that season 4 is going to see the characters in rather different places, and expect there to be a rather experimental feel to the story as the producers work to get all of the characters in. We’re still not sure how this will work, but we have to say that we love to see it when some substantial risks are taken.
Are you excited to find out more about Alex’s character, even though he didn’t always come across the best on the reality show this past summer?
