I record the show every Sunday night and watch it later in the evening so I can just blow through the commercials! i watch 80% of shows that way except sporting events. I usually watch the sporting events while the others are recording.

Are people in the 18-49 age group the only ones who buy stuff from commercials? No! A lot of people have more money to spend after their kids leave home. So why is the emphasis on the 18-49 age group?

Why must you cater to the 18-49? The rest of us aren’t dead yet and we like a good quality show, with great acting, amazing story line, and decency to boot!

NONESENSE!! These networks are doing 20-22 episodes annually. Compare that with programming in years past that had 30 episodes. Moreover we’re spending an entire third of our time watching commercials, catch-ups from previous episodes,intros, more commercials, more commercial and credits. Then onto more commercials. In the end we’re paying more and getting less. In the mean time the lucky ones in the Biz are making 10 times as much as their predecessors. I’m a little confused. “The ratings in terms of viewers are phenomenal, but the 18-49 numbers could use a little bit of work.” So, are the ‘phenomenal ratings’ coming from the retirement homes? I highly doubt that! Madam Secretary is pounding its competition. I think there will definitely be at least one more season, but probably many more to come. I certainly hope so!

The show should definitely be renewed for a second season. It is the best new show of this season.
