‘American Idol’s’ Easter: Haley Reinhart, Lauren Alaina, and Colton Dixon

Colton: unafraid to show his faith.

With today being Easter — and with it also being relatively quiet on the news front — we thought we’d share some of what your favorite “American Idol” stars are doing to ring in the big holiday.

Colton Dixon – With the day being so religious, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone that Colton Dixon chose to tweet out a message showcasing just how much Easter as a day means to him:

“He is risen. People will be saying that all day, but think about what that really means…”

As for what Colton’s fellow contestant Jessica Sanchez is up to, she posted that she is spending the holiday going to the movies with her family. (Skylar Laine, meanwhile, retweeted a post fromTim Tebow.)

Lauran Alaina – On Saturday, the season 10 runner-up had the opportunity to perform a few songs in Murfeesboro, Tennessee at a service hosted by the World Outreach Church. There were over 10,000 people reportedly in attendance for the Easter service, and Alaina claims that the event even made her more than a little bit emotional:

“I just about lost it … when I saw these kids singing and dancing. I remember being a little girl with a big dream. I started singing in church.”

When it comes to this claim, Lauren is certainly not alone — a number of past “Idol” alumni have also professed to first finding their voices in services around the country.

Haley Reinhart – Haley ultimately chose to keep things rather simple — she posted the photo below of herself as a child on Twitter, along with the following caption:

“From one peep to another… Happy Easter:)”

How are you celebrating the Easter holiday? We will be starting back the “Idol” notes in their typical capacity on Monday, so stay tuned!
