Mrs. Carter: The wedding was so secret we didn’t find out until now!
While many celebrities make a huge spectacle out of getting married and do their best to end up on the front cover of every magazine possible, Leah Messer decided not to take that root when it came to her marriage to Jeremy Calvert
The ‘Teen Mom 2’ star revealed a few months ago that she was engaged to Calvert, but what no one saw coming was Leah and Jeremy deciding to have a wedding so private that no one found out about it until 4 days later.
Reports from Gossip Cop reveal that Messer and Calvert exchanged their wedding vows in front of roughly 20 people on Wednesday at the Catlettsburg Wedding Chapel in Kentucky. Being that she is part of a reality show, she did have an MTV producer and cameraman on hand in the chapel to record the ceremony for the show, but she still managed to keep the wedding a secret.
Rev. Mary Gute officiated the ceremony and said that both Messer and Calvert’s mothers were the witnesses to the union, while Messer’s twin daughters, Aliannah and Aleeah were on hand to help celebrate Leah and Jeremy’s special day.
Even though Leah and Jeremy have been husband and wife for 4 days now, Calvert still refers to Messer on Twitter as his fiancée and Leah hasn’t said a word about the wedding on her Twitter either, still leaving up ‘Simms’ as one of her last names.
This is Leah’s second marriage as she was previously married to Corey Simms, the father of Leah’s twin girls.
