You have to love drama on “The Amazing Race” — and when this drama comes courtesy of Rachel Reilly (and her tendency to make every situation as over-the-top as humanly possible), you really have to love it even more.
On Sunday night’s new episode, we are going to see all of the teams taking off to Tanzania for what should be a pretty eventful leg. Unfortunately, for some the problem is going to be making it to all of the challenges without losing their minds first. Remember that Rachel and Vanessa (of team Vanessa & Ralph) are none too fond of each other? That is going to come up in a bit way this episode, as the two face off and eventually fire off some barbs about how old they look versus how old they actually are. (This strangely reminds us of what happened between Rachel and Ragan on “Big Brother 12.” On a related note, we really miss “Big Brother.”)
If these two teams make it out of this shouting match alive, the real challenge from there is going to be trying to see if they can handle all of the typical “Race” stuff — the traveling, the challenges, and the hope that somewhere along the way you don’t make a mistake at the airport. The only team that seems to be making a mistake? Nary & Jamie, in particular that Ari & AJ somehow are going to figure out that they are not the schoolteachers they have been pretending to be for most of the show.
After being deprived of the “Race” last week courtesy of the ACM Awards, we admit that we’re chomping at the bit for this one. We’re also fearful about our beloved Team Kentucky Mark & Bopper, if for no other reason that they don’t even show up in this promo at all.
Even if you’re not a Rachel fan, do you think that she brings some great entertainment to the race? Check back after the episode airs Sunday for a full review of what goes down!
