‘Jersey Shore’: The Situation is out of rehab, thanks fans for support

Mike and his abs are back in action

When fans first heard that ‘Jersey Shore’ star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino was going to rehab they were happy to know that he was getting the help he needed, but another concern was that he wouldn’t return for season six of ‘Jersey Shore.’

According to TMZ, The Situation has left the Cirque Lodge rehab center in Utah after receiving treatment for issues with prescription medication.  Sorrentino checked himself into the treatment center to “get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion.”

The Situation is now back out in the real world and seems to be doing well.  The reality star was spotted at the airport yesterday and even though he has been battling some pretty serious stuff, he still made time to pose for pictures with fans.  It was said that Mike was not allowed to show his abs in the treatment center, leaving a collective sigh of disappointment from women everywhere, but now that he is out of there we may get a fresh peek at those abs we all love so much.

Although The Situation has had some conflicts with some of his housemates from ‘Jersey Shore’, they have been very supportive of his recovery and are hoping that his time at the Cirque Lodge rehab center helped him get the rest he needed. Sorrentino posted a message of thanks on his Twitter account today, thanking everyone for standing behind him during this difficult time in his life.  He wrote;

“The Situation is home!! I just want to thank everyone for their support and words of encouragement. I’m back stronger and better than ever!”

There have been reports that MTV is planning to phase The Situation and Snooki out of the show now that Mike may not be partying hard anymore and Snooki is pregnant, but there have been no real confirmations of that happening, so there’s no need to worry about losing two of the fan favorites just yet.

The Situation will be back for season 6 of ‘Jersey Shore’ with the rest of the cast members, but now that he has finished rehab, we wonder how that will affect life in the house for him.  Will he still be able to drink and party or will he decide to curb that for a while and focus on other aspects of his life – like finally making Paula his girlfriend.
