‘The Bachelorette’ scoop: How aggressive is Emily Maynard being?

How is she doing?

It’s been a few days since we’ve provided an update on “The Bachelorette,” and when it comes to concrete details they are still hard to come by. However, there is a rather new rumor out there at the moment that certainly is interesting.

According to tabloid In Touch Weekly, Emily has been paid more than any other show star in history in $250,000, and a source claims that she is also holding nothing back when it comes to eliminating guys she immediately feels are not right for her:

“She’s whittling it down to a handful of candidates who she will spend a lot more time with. If she doesn’t like a guy, he’s gone.”

While we’re not going to touch the money claim (mostly because we know these people are compensated, and if Emily really made that much for this she should just get a pat on the back), a Twitter message from executive producer Mike Fleiss seems to confirm that she is not messing around with this in the slightest:

@EmilyMaynard is willing to stand her ground. She can be one tough cookie. Good for her!!!”

There has also been a great deal of drama during taping in some form or another, and from what we can tell Emily’s way of handling it is rather simply — get rid of it all together. When you have a daughter, how much time can you waste on people being petty?

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer for the May 14 return of the show — but just for fun, you can check out the “Live! with Kelly” interview featuring show host Chris Harrison below. (Note: he’s not talking about the show, but you can at least picture him coming in and nonsensically telling everyone that the final rose is about to be handed out.)
