‘American Idol’ notes: Haley Reinhart, Heejun Han, and Jessica Sanchez

What’s Haley up to next?

For Tuesday’s edition of “American Idol” notes, we admit that there’s not too much when it comes to in-depth analysis. Why? So much of what we are reporting really ends up speaking for itself.

Haley’s National Anthem performance – Has there ever been a song more scrutinized than the National Anthem? If you make one mistake, the song goes viral and you have to endure all sorts of unnecessary ridicule.

With this in mind, we wish Haley Reinhart luck. 19 Entertainment confirmed on Twitter that the season 10 alum will be performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Detroit Tigers home opener against the Boston Red Sox Thursday. Check back after it happens, as we will have a video of the entire performance if available.

Heejun Han explains his regrets – Sometimes, we don’t need elaborate introductions — in this case, just check out the rather hilarious quote talking about is infamous Billy Joel performance from the recent castoff’s interview with MTV News:

“It’s supposed to be entertaining. It’s either [supposed to] make them cry, make them laugh, or make them pissed off about something. I felt like I at least did two of the three [with] Billy Joel … People ask me, ‘What would you do differently, because that’s the thing that caused you to go home?’ But only thing I’d do differently this time, if I could go back in time, then I’m not just going to take off my tuxedo, I’m also going to take off my pants. I don’t regret anything that I did; entertaining people is catching them out of nowhere, and I felt like I did it.”

We know that Heejun was not the best singer in the competition — but we miss him already.

Minor notes

-In a post on Twitter, Jessica Sanchez demonstrated a rather interesting use of ellipsis when talking about seeing a controversial pop superstar: “I just saw @chrisbrown …”

-Meanwhile, HITS Daily Double claims that Kris Allen’s “The Vision of Love” video drops this week. Will it happen? Stay tuned.
