‘The Bachelorette’: More updates on Emily Maynard’s season

Emily’s first photo.

It has been a busy month of March for Emily Maynard, even though we are not going to have an opportunity to see any of it until May 14 when “The Bachelorette” premieres.

There has been quite a bit associated with the show over the past few days, so we’ll do our best to sum up events without any spoilers for those who like to watch the show and be surprised by the outcome.

-First things first, check out the first official look at Emily to the left! We like the casual vibe here — it feels different than any other season of the show, and it will be different thanks to her being a single mom. If someone tries to freak out and cause an insane amount of drama, we expect them to be kicked to the curb in a matter of seconds.

-Show executive producer Mike Fleiss has already said that Emily has made a number of difficult decisions already on the show, and they include going through one of the infamous two-on-one dates that all contestants hate. (Lat’s just hope that she didn’t pull a Jake Pavelka and end up sending both people home.) We know that production ┬ámoved on to a tropical location after spending the first few weeks of production in North Carolina, but they have already booked plane tickets for somewhere new.

-As for Chris Harrison, our host is really having to travel all over the world at the moment. Over the next 48 hours, he is going to be co-hosting “Live! with Kelly” in Banff, Alberta (where he has already arrived as of this writing), and then he is going to have to hightail it back to location for the show. You have to think that Harrison’s passport is packed to the limit with stamps.

Do you think Emily’s season is going to better than the downer that we saw with Ben Flajnik?
