Next I would like to see Kate get promoted to a special crime unit as in The Closer to get more difficult (and interesting) cases. (She would be too bored if she replaced Capt. Gates.) Castle should continue pretty much as he is with perhaps some maturing. Cannot see Castle penning real literary works unless Kate left the NYPD.
