Ron Burgundy crashes Conan, announces ‘Anchorman’ sequel (Video)

He’s baaaaaack!

Everyone raise your glasses, Ron Burgundy is back!

It has been eight years since ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’ hit the theaters and fans of the film have been on the edge of their seat waiting for any news of a possible sequel.

Even though Will Farrell, Steve Carell and Paul Rudd have all expressed interest in doing a sequel to ‘Anchorman’ over the years and fans have been rallying to get a studio interested in making another one, no one seemed to be interested in making a sequel – no matter how much of a fuss everyone was making over it.

Now it seems that our prayers and petitions have been answered as Will Ferrell crashed Conan’s show dressed as Ron Burgundy and announced that the sequel to ‘Anchorman’ will finally be going into production.  He said;

“To everyone here in the Americas. To our friends in Spain, Turkey and the UK including England,” Ferrell-as-Burgundy addressed the crowd, “as of 0900 mountain time, Paramount Pictures and myself . . . have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman.”

According to Deadline, Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Kechner, and Steve Carell will all be returning for the ‘Anchorman’ sequel, but there is no word at this time on if Christina Applegate’s character will return or if Ron will be single and ready to mingle.
