I could have accepted Tom being back in the show if Liz had turned him over to the FBI for questioning about his motives, for questioning him about Berlin (we assume he was hired by Berlin) and his motives, or to charge him with the murders of Jolene and the Texan. But since she did none of those things, I really think it's a bad idea. She is proving herself less of an FBI agent and more of a psychopath. I was hoping to see her character grow in more positive ways. I like twists and turns in a story to keep it interesting, but they need to make sense. I'd hate to see her go down a rabbit hole she will never be able to truly get out of.

Calm down people. We all knew he wasn't dead. It could not have been that easy considering the situation and characters involved. I think this is a means to an end for her character. She has to get answers, he has information, why shouldn't she get it from him. He owes her that much.

Sorry you're all jumping to conclusions.
Who said it was Liz that captured and kept Tom locked up, you're all assuming that to be the case. Liz may well have had some 'inside help' on that one...

The writer's had to get Tom back in somehow given the ending of Season 1 and this was a creative way of doing it - don't see the need for everyone to moan about predictability.

I was so disappointed with the Tom reveal for so many reasons. For one, it was the obvious choice. What else would it be? And for two, it makes absolutely no sense for Elizabeth's character. It was a poor choice, and no amount of post-explanation is ever going to make it any less of a terrible choice. That last scene painted her like she was some sort of psychopath.

One of my absolute favorite parts of this show is how well the writers seem to carry the characters. Their actions make sense, they develop through the show's events and we see them grow. This is not growth. It's like a bad fanfiction that got some screen time.
