I thought the show was starting to slide after Season 3, but tonight was a lackluster ending. Can’t blame the actors who always delivered great performances, but rather just what I thought was poor writing. Game of Thrones should take note. This is what happens when you spend the first 4 seasons of your show killing off really interesting characters played by really great actors who gave really great performances for the sake of shock value. This show could have gone on and should have gone on for at least 1 or 2 more seasons if they hadn’t made some terrible decisions in earlier seasons. Also, a poor ending for Eli, Willy, Margaret, and Gillian. Finally, I have to say that the only Darmody that I ever really connected with was Gillian so this ending was super disappointing for me and felt really forced down my throat. Overall, a great show.

Horrible ending! I mean I get how life comes full circle but it almost makes the whole series seem pointless. I honestly feel like the series began to fall off after season 3. The Nucky we have all known over the years would have never came to get this kid out of jail. In season 1 he was ready to cut Jimmy off and he knew him. Nucky gave this kid ample opportunity to figure it out. The ending was just way to predictable. The whole season was honestly.
