its one of the few negative-average review i saw for this episode, though im pretty sure that not much is invented here, and is a rehash of the comic line with a few deviations, i think its giving what the viewers want, i mean just casting a guy with black hair and casting a black actress for iris raised eyebrows, which shows comic fans that view the show want exactly what was told a million times and not different. The episode this week is much better than last's, and ur point of repeating obvious points don't hurt the show, its just dropping easter eggs, and also clues to ppl who dont know much abt comics. So i think everyone will not be pleased by the direction of the show, but i dont think they came here to see a flash of different timeline too, they came to see the flash they always knew. New guys who dont know abt the flash and is not net savy to check out the spoilers have a different take on the series compared to those that are ahead of the series, so its not a problem if ppl have different perspective, we can atleast improve in acting, dialogues, special effects and technical details even if not the storyline which many flash fans already know.
