Could Clay be the next ‘Celebrity Peace Keeper’?
The feud between Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump is one of the biggest celebrity fights of all time and neither party seems to want to back down. Most recently Trump took a jab at O’Donnell on his Twitter account shortly after her show got cancelled from OWN. He wrote;
“Rosie O’Donnell has failed again. Her ratings were abysmal and Oprah cancelled her on Friday night. When will media executives learn that Rosie just hasn’t got it.”
Former ‘American Idol’ contestant Clay Aiken is friends with Rosie and is also on this season of ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ putting Aiken in the precarious position of being on both Team Trump and Team O’Donnell. While speaking to Access Hollywood Live, Aiken said that one of the biggest surprises he’s had on the show so far is how much he ended up liking Donald Trump. When suggested that Aiken might be just want is needed to squash the bad feelings between Trump and O’Donnell, Aiken said;
“I’ve thought of that… I feel like that may need to happen. I don’t know if we can get the parties to come to the table or not. We may have to do a little shuttle diplomacy. I don’t know if we’ll get them in the same room with each other, but we’ll try.”
When Clay told Rosie that he was doing ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’, he said she was supportive. He said;
“She’s wished me luck,” he said of his pal. “She’s been very supportive.”
You can catch ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC.
