It’s no secret that trying to book Leonard Nimoy for anything is like finding the lost ark of the covenant buried in your backyard, but if anyone’s going to make that kind of magic happen it was going to be Chuck Lorre, the co-creator of ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
Nimoy is set to guest star on this week’s episode of ‘The Big Bang Theory’, but if you’re hoping to actually see Nimoy on the show, you’ll be a little disappointed. The ‘Star Trek’ veteran is set to be heard on Thursday’s episode when he speaks to Sheldon (Jim Parsons) in a dream sequence, but he won’t physically appear on the episode.
Lorre admitted that the producers have been trying to get Nimoy to appear on the series in some capacity for years before he finally agreed. Lorre told TVLine; “We’ve been chasing Leonard for years, and he finally gave up. We caught him.”
Even though fans won’t have a chance to see Sheldon and his idol on screen together, Nimoy posted a photo of them taken on the set of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on his Twitter account and wrote; “On the set Of Big Bang with Jim Parsons ! LLAP”
Make sure you tune in on Thursday, March 29th on CBS at 8 p.m. to check out Nimoy’s guest spot on ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
