Mrs Carter: We never saw this one coming.
‘90210’ star Jennie Garth and her hunky ‘Twilight’ husband Peter Facinelli shocked us all when they announced their decision to end their 11 year marriage and while most of the details concerning the reason behind the split has been kept private, Garth says her new reality show ‘Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country’ will give fans a deeper understanding as to what brought them to this place.
In a new clip from Jennie’s reality show that aired on the Today Show, Garth reveals that although the split will not be easy on the family, they knew it was the right thing to do. She said; “[It] will not be easy, [But] I know it’s the right thing for us right now. I feel it in my heart.”
Garth will be moving to a farm in California with their three daughters, Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5. While speaking to Access Hollywood, Jennie admitted that with her life being so hectic at the moment, a move to the country would be just the ticket for her and their daughters. She said;
“My life is a little bit hectic right now,” and “My personal life is kind of crazy, so this [move to the country] is what I need and the girls need right now. I wanted to move out of the city for a while, and something inside of me said, ‘It’s time.’ I needed that sort of shelter. Some things in my life have been transitioning. I just needed that.”
Although Facinelli himself will not be part of Garth’s reality show (which will air on CMT), she said that it will have some focus on their split, saying; “I hope that people will tune in and find out.”
Garth and Facinelli have released a statement together addressing the rumors of infidelity, and said that the rumors are “completely untrue and hurtful to our family.”
It’s always tough to go through something like a divorce, but put it under the microscope of the public eye and media scrutiny and it can make a bad experience completely dreadful. Hopefully Garth’s new reality show will help answer some questions fans have about the breakdown of their marriage and help quiet down the rumor mill once and for all.
