Bad decision on the showrunners’ part when the actor/director had merely asked for a leave of absence. They did the same thing when they eliminated Zach by having him unrealistically linked to a serial killer. And Bones’ other assistant, Nigel, met an untimely demise via sniper. it’s like when they want to jumpstart the story, they think: “Hey, let’s kill someone!” I doubt the viewers are going to appreciate it, anymore than they did when they did away with other beloved characters.
