Following Shannon Magrane’s elimination on “American Idol,” there were of course all sorts of reactions that came out about how the teenager ended up doing. But what did the three people judging her have to say? After listening to Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and Randy Jackson speak out with “Access Hollywood” in some new interviews, they may have very well been the same exact person.
Basically, all three judges really do believe that Shannon has the potential at some point down the road to be a major star, but that this is something that is going to take time. We ultimately wish that the question was asked, but we have to wonder if producers regret possibly putting her through to the top 24 over some of the other female singers who were more mature and perhaps ready now to be stars. (They can’t change her being in the top 13, mostly because this is the decision that America ended up making.)
However, we were at least interested in seeing that Randy and Jennifer were a bit more at odds when it came to the handling of the Jermaine Jones situation. While J.Lo felt as though this elimination should have happened more behind closed doors rather than out in the public for all to see, Randy said that people were really going to judge the show no matter what, so there was really no proper way to handle getting rid of Jermaine at the end of the day.
Next week, the remaining ten contestants are going to tackle the hits of Billy Joel, and we are already hoping that our judges will actually keep up what they have been doing the past couple of weeks in giving honest feedback (even if they still are a bit too nice to a few from time to time).
Are you liking the judges much more this season than in years past?
