‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Charles Dance makes surprising comments on Tywin’s future

Tywin -Obviously, we start this article off with a SPOILER WARNING. If you have not finished “Game of Thrones” season 5 for some reason, you’re going to want to stop reading right now.

Now, let’s turn to Tywin Lannister, and the notion that he could actually be seen on the series again, despite the character dying on the toilet, and by Tyrion’s hand, this past season. Charles Dance is in the middle of a press tour for his upcoming movie “Dracula Untold,” and speaking to MTV UK in a new interview, he said the following in regards to how much more of the character on HBO you could see:

“I’m not completely missing out on the next series. More than that, I’m not going to say. You haven’t seen the last of Tywin Lannister, is all I’ll say.”

What we will say right now is that Tywin is not pulling a Lady Stoneheart (or at least what many thought would be a Lady Stoneheart on the show) and coming back to life. Instead, this will likely be in some form of flashback; those who have read the George R.R. Martin novel A Feast For Crows may have an idea already of what you can expect.

We are not always a fan of when an actor or actress is brought back after their character has already been killed off on the show, but we really don’t have much of a problem with it here. Tywin was a big part of the story, and it feels appropriate that we should see him at least one more time rather than having our last memory of him being him dead on a toilet.

We’ll have more news on “Game of Thrones” season 5 soon, so be on the lookout, and also head over to the link here for more on the show. Also, you can sign up now to get further updates on all we cover via our official newsletter.
