‘American Idol’ notes: Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, and Jermaine Jones

We’re going to start our Saturday edition of “American Idol” notes by focusing on one thing first and foremost — country music.
Lauren’s cancellation – Lauren Alaina has been touring as of late with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, but unfortunately she was unable to perform alongside these two in Kansas Friday night.
According to reports, the season 10 runner-up had to cancel her performance due to an undisclosed illness, but is set to continue the tour moving forward.
Scotty’s promotion – Even though Scotty is currently taking part in a tour with Brad Paisley, he has also found himself enough time to continue playing baseball at Garner High School — and is even doing whatever he can to support the show’s athletic department.
In a new post on Twitter, Scotty posted a link that was all about a way for his fans to support his high school while he continues to support his favorite sport:
If yall would like to support the Garner High Trojan Club, go to ScottyFans.com, click ‘links’ and order some Garner athletic merch!

Meanwhile, Scotty is set to perform on “Idol” at some point later this season.
Good news for Jermaine? – Finally, we are going to close with what may at least be some sort of good news for the recently-eliminated Jermaine Jones — his childhood pastor still welcomes him with open arms.
Speaking to TMZ, Reverend George Holland at Green Grove Baptist Church had this to say about having Jermaine back in his New Jersey congregation after being kicked off the show for having outstanding warrants in his name:
“He’s well-loved and accepted here. We serve a forgiving God. Everyone has made mistakes in their lives. Hopefully when you make those mistakes you’ve learned from them and become a better person.”

Love Scotty, I am happy how his career is developing, he is so down to earth and humble and has never forgotten from where he comes from, gives continual support to his town! ….. As for Lauren not surprised, always has some kind of problem. I used to really like her but now I fine her too flirty and continually talking about which guys she likes, a typical 17yr old I guess! I actually voted for her over Scotty, but now I like him more, funny how things can change.

It’s no surprise, Lauren is always getting sick, if it’s not one thing it’s another. I don’t think she is cut out for these long tours!
