This was definitely the best episode so far, and they’ve all been good. The Outlander series on stars is not a pale cousin compared to the books, but an equal and true sibling.

Whatever deviations there were from the book (frankly I didn’t even remember who said what to who) ADDED to the creation of character and mood. Black Jack and Claire’s scenes were riveting and perfect. I loved every minute of it–horrify and wonderful all at once.
