Shame on you A&E. Someone needs to question your lack of business sense. Longmire is a great show with very talented artist and writers.

A & E stands for Arts and Entertainment. However the only shows left in their line up are moronic reality shows, which are neither art nor entertainment. I am among those that will never watch A&E again but that’s because they don’t offer anything worth watching.

I’m 35 so I’m not sure if I’m considered part of the older demographic or not. Longmire is my favorite show and I’m very disappointed about the cancellation news. Someone needs to pick this show up. I found it on Netflix so I’ll take it there as long as they don’t try to make it edgy or raunchy like some of the other stuff they have (Orange is the New Black). If it is picked up, I hope they keep the same formula that makes it popular. Networks need to stop catering to the “reality” show culture we have going on right now.

I would like to see another network pick up Longmire. I’ve watched other shows that were canceled but picked up by other networks. For example Medium and Southland. I know these shows didn’t last long but at least they were given the chance to grow and improve. If Longmire doesn’t get picked up by another network. A&E loses another viewer and I watch quite a bit of their shows.

Excellent article. As a senior with a higher than average income, I watch few TV shows. I spend much more time on my computer (Facebook, Twitter). Longmire was such an interesting show. Thank goodness I purchased the DVDs of season 1 & 2, and can watch Longmire again. Hope Longmire gets picked up by another network, but I won’t bet money on it.

Excellent article. It is incomprehensible to me that this show was cancelled. As a member of the “older” demographic, I can assure you that I spend plenty and I do NOT watch any of the reality-type shows that any smart person knows are anything BUT real, with the exception of possibly 2 or 3 on major networks. Longmire had become my favorite show and I have signed off A+E completely. #LongLiveLongmire

The article notes that many people in the older demographic have vowed to never watch A&E again. Well, that’s because A&E has given people few reasons to watch the network. With Longmire and The Glades cancelled, all that remains are ridiculous reality shows, thus eliminating the two reasons anyone with a scintilla of taste would bother to tune in to A&E.

Thanks for the great article. For all the crap that’s on television right now, Longmire really stands out as smart, engaging, and genuinely good, with an excellent, honest cast. It would be foolish for another network to NOT pick it up!
