Adam Lambert fans celebrate Do Something Awards nom with giving

Uusally when some stars get nominated for a major award, the fans stick to just voting as a measure to show their support — in the case of Adam Lambert, however, they are doing so much more.

Following the news that the “Whataya Want From Me” singer was nominated for a VH1 Do Something Award, some of his dedicated fans have created pages in order to continue to spread Adam’s charitable message through a couple of his favorite organizations.

-First, we have My Charity:Water. Back when Adam turned 29 earlier this year, he set a goal for his fans to try and raise $29,000 to help spread the usage of clean water to those who need it. Not only, did the fans manage to achieve that goal, but they did so by raising over $320,000. (Adam later pumped up his goal to $290,000.)

-Adam is also a passionate supporter of DonorsChoose, and there has also been a new page set up there to donate in celebration of Adam’s Do Something recognition. Over $320,000 has also been donated to the organization (which supports arts education for struggling schools) since Adam first started to promote the program.

In addition to voting, do you find it incredibly kind that Adam fans are still working to support his causes?
