‘Girl Meets World’ episode 7 preview: Lee Norris returns as Minkus!

For all diehard fans of “Boy Meets World” out there, next week’s episode of “Girl Meets World” is going to be one to watch. While the title of “Girl Meets Maya’s Mother” may lead you in a certain direction, the reason that many longtime fans are going to watch is for the return Lee Norris as the beloved character Minkus from the original.

So what are the circumstances surrounding this character’s appearance? Based on the synopsis for the episode below, it sounds almost like it will be a surprise:

“When Maya’s artwork is featured at a school event, Riley sees it as an opportunity to help Maya mend her relationship with her mother. Meanwhile, Cory and Topanga get a surprise visit from their childhood friend Minkus.”

We know that further “Boy Meets World” implementation is something that most longtime fans of the series have been hoping to see for a rather long time now, and it’s finally here! We do understand why they shied away from it for the most part, save for a little Easter egg in the pilot for longtime fans. Much like Riley needs to make this world her own, the show wants to probably develop its own identity rather than be stuffed full of inside jokes just for those who watched the original. We’re sure that there will be some of that with Minkus, but at the same time, the character will need to be introduced in a way that new fans can also appreciate him.
