After the big announcement of Jessica Lange and Zachary Quinto returning for season 2 of ‘American Horror Story’ fans began to wonder if any of their other favorites would be coming back – as it turns out there are three more actors you can bank on seeing next season.
During PaleyFest, ‘American Horror Story’ co-creators, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck gave the inside scoop on who else from season one will be returning next season. So who is coming back outside of Lange and Quinto? Keep your eyes peeled for the return of Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters, but don’t expect them to be playing the same characters. Murphy revealed that everyone that is returning will be playing the complete opposite of what you saw in season one. He said;
“Everyone will be playing the opposite of what they played. We’re writing it and we don’t want to talk about it too much.”
Although Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott and Taissa Farmiga have not been confirmed to appear in season two, Murphy said;
“Anyone can pop up at anytime…the Harmons were exhausted, let’s give them at least one season off. Our only rule on this show was no werewolves and no vampires. I think a supernatural element will always be a part of the show. We’re going to do something much more historically accurate.”
Murphy also gave a little insider information when it came to trying up some loose ends from season one. He said;
“We have not lost sight of the fourth child. And with a show like this it could be season four, I don’t know. We will eventually deal with that, even though Jessica’s not playing Constance.”
The writers for ‘American Horror Story’ came together in February to begin writing the scripts for season two and filming is scheduled to begin in July.
Are you excited to hear that some of the cast members from season one will be returning? What do you think of the idea that they will all be playing completely different characters? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
