‘Hawaii Five-0′ star Alex O’Loughlin temporarily leaves series, enters treatment

He’s entering treatment

CBS surprised everyone when they announced that they were going to be launching a remake of the hit series ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and although viewers were skeptical at first, wondering if a remake of the show could really work, their fears were put to rest when they saw Scott Caan, Alex O’Loughlin and former ‘Lost’ star Daniel Dae Kim lighting up the screen together.

A new report from Deadline has revealed that O’Loughlin will be leaving the show temporarily as he seeks treatment for issues with prescription pill use.  ‘Hawaii Five-O’ is expected to finish up production on season two, and O’Loughlin is said to be returning to the program before production is completed.

O’Loughlin’s representative spoke to Gossip Cop about his short leave of absence from the show and said; “Alex is taking a short break from ‘Hawaii Five-0′ to receive supervised treatment for prescription pain medication due to a recent shoulder injury.”

Hopefully he will be able to make a full recovery and come back to the show ready for some action as fans will surely miss him.
