Zachary Quinto is not only going to be on season 2 of “American Horror Story,” he is going to be around in a far more significant fashion.
In a new bit of news first reported by Deadline, Quinto is going to be a series regular after just being a guest star for the first go-around. Who will he play? Details on that subject are still a little bit murky, but it is believed that his character will be a major adversary of Jessica Lange (who is going to have a more significant role this time around) throughout the entirety of the season.
For Quinto, this is yet another booking on his busy schedule, which already includes filming the “Star Trek” sequel as Mr. Spock. His most notable TV credit as of this writing is courtesy of “Heroes,” where he played the villain Sylar throughout the entirety of the show’s run.
As for the show itself, executive producer Ryan Murphy has announced that more cast members from the first season will be back in new roles, even if we do not know who these people are just yet. One of the other luxuries Murphy is working with at the moment is that this time around, he does not have his back up against the wall courtesy of a rushed production schedule. This will allow the staff to map out a story, get the casting taken care of, and hopefully avoid some of the sophomore slumps that some of his other shows have endured.
Are you excited to see more of Quinto moving forward? Season 2 will premiere at some point this fall.
