The CW Fall Schedule: ‘Arrow’ season 3, ‘Vampire Diaries’ season 5 premiere dates revealed

The latest -Want to know when some of your favorite shows are coming back on The CW? Then this is what this article is all about, as we have now the official premiere dates for all of the shows coming up this fall.

What is particularly notable here? Once again, the network is waiting until early October to launch its new episodes, and it will start once again with “The Vampire Diaries.” Also notable? That for October 8 and October 15, the network is giving “The Flash” additional sampling courtesy of some repeats after airing.

Without further ado, let’s get in now to the repeats. Remember here that these times are all Eastern.

Thursday, October 2

  • 8:00 p.m. – “The Vampire Diaries”
  • 9:00 – “Reign”

Monday, October 6

  • 8:00 – “The Originals” (new time)

Tuesday, October 7

  • 8:00 – “The Flash” (new series)
  • 9:00 – “Supernatural”

Wednesday, October 8

  • 8:00 – “Arrow”

Monday, October 13

  • 9:00 – “Jane the Virgin” (new series)

Friday, October 17

  • 9:00 – “America’s Next Top Model”

Wednesday, October 22

  • 9:00 – “The 100”

So why is “The 100” starting so late? The easy answer to that is that this is not a show with a 22-episode order, so there will be no real rush to put the show on the air. This gives the network time to ensure that “The Flash” is a hit, since we already know that “The 100” is one of the network’s surprise hits.

The show that we are worried about the most right now is “Jane the Virgin.” We haven’t profiled it yet in our Fall TV Preview series, but it looks ridiculously goofy and is coming on at a time where many other network shows have failed.

What do you think about the schedule for now? Are you surprised about anything? Let us know in the comments below, and we’ll have so much more news on all of these shows this summer. (That’s what we’re here for!)
