If they wanted to make it clear that he was dead they would have given him a silent clock, and actually shown him being blown up or shown Jack reacting to the explosion. The fact that they cut out with Margot looking at her screen and didn’t show anything else makes me think he might not be dead. But if he is not dead I am not sure where they will go with his story from this point forward, since he would not be president anymore most likely.
