‘X Factor’: Rachel Crow lands Nickelodeon, Columbia Records deal

She’s landed a deal!

Melanie Amaro may have won ‘The X Factor’, but it looks like some of the competition she knocked out while climbing to the top spot are coming back stronger than ever and proving that they also have what it takes to make it in the music industry.

Along with Amaro, Chris Rene, Astro and Marcus Canty have all landed record deals, but there is another ‘X Factor’ contestant that is on the rise also.

After Rachel Crow’s shocking elimination from ‘X Factor’, fans were afraid that they would never get to see her infectious smile again.  Have no fear, Nickelodeon and Columbia Records have come to the rescue and offered the 14 year old star a recurring role on ‘Fred: The Show’ along with a starring role in her own comedy pilot. Crow has also been signed to Columbia Records in partnership with Simon Cowell’s label, Syco.  In a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Crow said that she feels very “blessed” to have all of these incredible opportunities coming her way.  She said;

“It’s been amazing, A couple days after the elimination I just found myself sitting home asking myself, ‘What am I going to do now?’ And I never would’ve thought that this is what I was going do now. So, it’s pretty amazing. I’m very thankful and I feel very blessed to have all this.”

There were a lot of reports circulating after ‘X Factor’ ended that Rachel was being courted by Disney and she says that her partnership with Nickelodeon might shock a few people because of the rumors.  She said;

“It’s definitely going to come as a surprise for a lot of people.  I get asked on a daily basis from all my wonderful friends, ‘So, Disney, huh?’ It’s hard to keep a secret, but it’s really cool because now I’m happy to be able to share it with everyone.”

Are you excited to see Rachel on her own show?  Will you be picking up her debut album when it comes out?  Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
