‘Fargo’ episode 8 podcast: The season so far with Jason Prager

Fargo -Now that “Hannibal” is over, we (meaning Matt Carter and Jason Prager) have a different podcast mountain to climb, or at least a different case to solve. “Fargo” is a great show with so much to discuss, and so for the final three episodes of the season we’re going to be here with updates, surprises, and more.

Tonight, this podcast is a little bit of a hybrid in that we’re focusing a little bit on some of the events that happened over the course of the entire first eight episodes of the series. It’s a refresher given that the show has jumped forward now, and there are also some critical discussions and plenty of offshoots onto some other topics. It includes ultimately some of the following:

  • Favorite characters from the series, and comparisons between the and the movie cast.
  • Whether or not we feel like good can actually prevail in a story like this.
  • The incredible cast that was assembled, and how Martin Freeman is basically the master of accents at this point.
  • Whether or not a time jump at this point in the series is a good idea, or a way to get out of some tricky situations.
  • Whether or not we believe the show could have a second season with similar characters, or just try to create another story set in a nearby small town with different people involved.

In the end, this was a fun chat with plenty of asides and stories, and you can get more of stuff like this on iTunes here. Or, head over here if you are interested in grabbing them from our archive!
